Terme Ptuj, Ptuj

Large resort, we spent a great day with kids there. Staff speaks English and usually German too. Older place and equipment but well managed and for reasonable price. Enough parking space.

We only passed by to have a swim (didn't stay in the hotel). Perfect place to play in the water and chill in the grass under the trees. It's not a brand new pool, but it was very neat and great to spend a refreshing afternoon on a hot summer day.

Just visited the pools. It was possible to use locker to store your wallet and phone. I liked that. There are many different pools but not all of them are in super shape. Maybe its time for renovation.

The best about this hotel is the fact that is I'm the Dráva bike trail and next to the huge swimming pools and slides phenomenon called Terme Ptuj. They have a suitable campsite as well, including small houses and wine barrels for overnight stays But we took he luxury approach and had a two room suite for two parents and two children. Perfectly fine. Nice balcony. Good breakfast buffet every morning. Bit of a hassle to het the right bill, get the key for the bike storage or an answer to questions. Probably they had trouble getting their staff back after the corona measures and lockdowns. Anyway, enjoyed the stay, tried the chocolate cake and were in the pools for two full days. Until it was time to go back to normal and bike to Varazdin, staying in an appartment or panzió.

1. The young lady that works at the desk for the thermal park in the mornings is amazing. She is kind and friendly and helpful. I would have given this review a 1-star if it weren’t for her. 2. The lady in the evening, however, is extremely rude and unprofessional. She gave both me and my boyfriend rude attitude for no reason. 3. My boyfriend got sick from the lunch buffet 4. There are also cameras in the locker rooms which creeped me out, so be sure to go into the little stalls to avoid the cameras. 5. The towels cost 2.50€ to rent which is absurdly expensive for a towel. But I didn’t have a towel so I rented two. Someone took my towels while I was swimming. I asked for another one and was rudely told “no, I don’t know who took your towel. That’s not my problem”. So I spent 5€ on 2 towels that I didn’t even get to use. Great. :] 6. None of the pools are hot
