  • We had the best visit with a gate 1 tour group. Our hostess was Anushka. She was so good at telling us about the gingerbread making. We loved her explanation and guide. She is the best tour guide...

  • As some already mentioned above this is not a museum but more of a workshop and a shop for buying gingerbread cookies. But the whole house is a living museum (500 years old) and family will explain.....  more

  • A small but cute museum in Radovljica. The museum is downstairs and displays persevered gingerbread from 35 years ago. Their gingerbread is designed to be kept for up to 3 years a souvenir but can be eaten within 6 months. The restaurant is on the ground floor and looks like a lovely place to dine
  • Eat dinner here. It was amazing. We ate here as a big group and the service was excellent, the food was fun, and the atmosphere was memorable. It was one of my favorite dinners in this part of the world because of the atmosphere.
  • Excellent restaurant with hearty Slovene classics, nice house wine, and a great desert sampler.
  • I love this place always visit when we come to Slovenia to to visit family. Happy and friendly staff. Lovely rooms and food available in the hotel. And visit the Gingerbread museum downstairs.
  • Having escaped from Venice earlier in the day, we then drove through Slovenia to the Gostilna Lectar. We were tired and somewhat jaded from Venice and couldn't have been happier that when we arrived here. The owners greeted us and made us welcome. Our two rooms were wonderful (and after Venice, a bargain!). The people were friendly and interesting. The food was wonderful. The view from the dining terrace was spectacular. It was truly the highlight to our three weeks in Europe last summer and we plan on revisiting as soon as we can
