  • We knew that we would head to the Beekeeping Museum, but I didn't think it would be as good as it was! Hidden on the second floor, it was much larger and comprehensive than I would have imagined...

  • We felt so welcome here. The staff member went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed the experience. There are English explanations for the exhibits and the video. It is full of interesting things...

  • We spent about 45min at the Bee Museum in April 2019. It was a very interesting and hands on experience. I bought a bottle of bees honey at a shop in Radovljica and noticed a sediment in it. Now...

  • I didn't really expect much from this, but it was surprisingly interesting. The exhibits showed the tools and traditions of beekeeping. The entrance fee of 8 euros seemed high, but I think it was just worth it.
  • This museum is surprisingly large and informative. Even my wife, who studied biology in university, learned something about bee behavior! There is also a good display about the development of beekeeping over time that we enjoyed. The highlight for us might have been the active hive where you could watch the bees go in and out, and demonstrate some of the behaviors discussed earlier in the museum!
  • Excellent museum about beekeeping in Slovenija, THE country of beekeeping! Historical presentations and artistic items, as well as informations about the life of bees. There is even a living beehive IN the museum, the bees flying through a tunnel to the outside world! Hvala lepa! (A beekeeper from Hamburg, Germany) (The entrance is near the music school, first floor of this big building!)
  • Very beautiful and interesting museum, certainly worth a visit if you're a fan of bees
  • A little corner of medieval Slovenia. Step back in time amidst these traditional houses along the original cobbled Main Street. Visit the gingerbread museum and watch how it's made.
