    This Renaissance manor with two single-story wings was built in 1220. It is adorned by a round two-storey corner tower and an interior arcaded courtyard. The castle's chapel has an altar fresco of Guilio Quaglio the Younger, the Descent from the Cross, dating from 1706, which is considered one of the most valuable works of art in Škofja Loka. Puštal Castle is also part of the 'Path to Puštal' theme path, which you can walk alone or accompanied by a tourist guide.

    Castle needs renovation. Fantastic frescoe of italian painter J. Quaglio in a chapel (entrance from inner courtyard). Castle hosts today a music school.
