Železniki Museum, Železniki

Family ticket for 6 people only 10 euros. An interesting and educational exhibition. Beautiful laces, a very vivid display of how the blacksmith's workshop worked (model in motion). Before the 1940s it was more interesting because the house had not yet been restored and looked more and more ancient.

This museum is a wonderful discovery. Modernly arranged, interesting and attractive presentation, rich in exhibits and special praise to the guide we listened to this Saturday. Worth a visit and especially the whole of Železnik.

This House, where the Museum of Railways is located, is called Payčeva house. The museum is very rich with collections from the local environment. The main focus is on the ironworks on the ground floor, where there is a new display case with remains from Štalca, where the wind furnaces were. On the first floor, there is a fire pump in the hallway that commemorates cooperage and coal mining in our valley with its collections. On the second floor, the production of bread from Dražgos, a model of Krekova's cottage, and a memorial room to Mr. Niko Žumro are presented with a new display case. The largest room on this floor is devoted to lace.

It is beautiful and everyone should visit it
