  • The highlight of my visit to South Africa! I stayed in the bush camp tent and had a very zen experience there. I really enjoyed the guided tours (I came back again and again for three tours) that were given by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. It was a unique place to hear the San language and to be able to ask questions to which I received honest and passionate responses. The breakfast is amazing too.
  • Food and service at the restaurant is TOP CLASS and excellent value for money, five stars! Sadly, while watching the intro video on the self-guided tour, three staff members were talking so loudly to each other that we had to rely on the subtitles as it was IMPOSSIBLE to hear anything being said on the film. Also quite disappointed to see that the outside areas aren't really being maintained and that just about every single plant for sale in the nursery is dead. Not good enough guys. The centre is amazing but you need to pay attention to detail and look after this amazing place. Finally, though the restaurant prices are really reasonable, the tours are not, not for locals anyway. The website says R160 per 45-minute tour (of which there are four), but when we got there, a board stated that it was R180 per person for one 45-minute tour. All the tours sound really interesting, but paying R180 per person for one 45 min tour was unfortunately too expensive for us, so we settled for the R80 per person it costs to walk around the museum.
  • A wonderful experience as always. Great food and such lovely friendly and helpful staff. Love the accommodation.

  • During your stay, you’re invited for diverse tours, learning about San culture in a very natural and interesting way, with personal stories from people with direct experience. Within the impressive compounds you start to slow down, and start learning (and living?) San lifestyle - very educational and inspirational. Whoever does the menus / food here deserves some serious praise; the menu is original, full of local (often harvested on the property) ingredients and beautifully presented. Combine this with the property’s ‘wellness tea’, and you’re in for a treat. Outdoor spaces are very well kept, with plenty to see and learn (by means of educational plaques scattered around the property). Indoor spaces are very clean, and there s a lot of great artwork to admire and interesting books to read (their own publications is an exceptional print). There is walking/trail running routes, leading you into the veld where you’ll encounter plenty of wildlife, interesting fauna and more - bring binoculars! Accommodation in the tents is basic, yes, but very clean and comfortable. The outdoor shower is a treat!
