Take a stroll along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, a man-made body of water that used to form part of a lavish, 7th-century palace compound. Abandoned after the fall of the Silla Empire in 935 CE, the pond and its structures were renovated in 1974, during which time an array of relics and artifacts were excavated. Admire the scenic vista of the pond and its ancient buildings, some rebuilt and some originals. In the exhibition hall nearby, you can view over 700 of the thousands of art pieces, religious objects, decorations, and everyday items that were found in the pond area. Best time to go is at sunset just before the lights come on. There are benches for sitting to enjoy the views & reflect; the crowd comes/goes as with any attraction but definitely worth a visit. Stay as long as you like within the site although I'm not sure of their in/out policy. There are toilets inside the grounds as well as gift/souvenir shop. Recommend 👍👍

Pretty disappointing. I do not recommend coming here in the daylight. I heard this place is a lot more beautiful at night when the lights are up. In the morning it is just 3 pavilions that look all the same.

Canadian traveller here. What a beautiful walk around this park. It’s peaceful and well kept. It was a total of 9,000 KW. They do not accept foreign credit cards so best to have cash with you. I would spend a total of 1.5 hrs here to take in the view and take some beautiful photos.

Fantastic place, unfortunately arrived very late and was to dark. Came back again next day but was too early and did not manage to see it properly. It the evening was way to packed to be honest but I still believe it is nice to see it.

Visited at night to see the lights. The place is well lit and awesome to take photos. Takes around 30min to walk around the area. They have a huge screen that has renderings of how the palace looked before the Japanese destroyed it.
