고려 광종 때 건립된 관촉사 석조미륵보살입상은 일반인들 사이에서는 속칭 은진미륵으로 통하며 이 일대 불교과 미륵신앙의 핵심지였다. 석조불로는 아시아 최대라는 말이 있을 만큼 크며 지금도 그런데 약 1,000년 전의 설립 당시에는 역사(役事)라 할 만 했을 것이다. 나라에 변고가 있거나 천재지변이 있으면 미륵불이 반응한다는 전설이 일반에 널리 퍼져 있다...

We visited during the rainy season but despite that the visit was a good one. We had a glimpse of temple life in Korea. If you visit during the flower season, we were told it gets extremely crowded...
