Create an itinerary including Soesokkak Estuary
Take a laid-back cruise on a traditional wooden boat, or ride a water bicycle across the surface of Soesokkak Estuary. Originally named “lying down ox” or "Soedun" in Korean, the estuary offers interesting views of curious lava formations overgrown with pine trees. Watch “tewoo” (large traditional wooden rafts) being hauled across the estuary by a rope strung between the riverbanks, or ride on a transparent kayak, allowing you to see what’s beneath the water's surface. Stroll on the black sand beach along the lazy river, where the fresh water meets the ocean. Head to the beach cafe and taste the mandarin and orange ice cream, a local specialty made using fruit grown in the area. Discover how to plan a Seogwipo trip in just a few steps with Klarna Trips's itinerary builder.

  • A nice short kayak tour of 20 minutes. The course it's quite easy and anyone can do it. You can also join the group traditional boat. Take it easy and go slowly. There are birds and nice photo spots along the course. Recommended if you are in the area. The whole area can also be seen from some points along the road.
  • It is a very small waterfall compared to the one nearby (jeonggbank waterfall). Still pretty nonetheless. Would have gone in the water if not for the many insects around.
  • Just hiking- I didn't ride the boats (pointless). Beautiful river.
  • I haven’t ridden a boat. But someday, I’m gonna try to ride a boat. I recommend to walk trail.
  • Lots of black lava rocks here, windy and pleasant for an evening walk. The locals enjoy fishing out here. You can also enjoy a coffee in one of the cafes along the road
