Hailed as the capital's only natural reserve, Bukhansan National Park shelters a rich biodiversity tucked away amid three granite mountain peaks--Baegunbong, Mangyeongbong, and Insubong. Also known as the Triangle Mountain, the national park boasts more than 1,300 species of animal and plant life, as well as an abundance of cultural and historical sites. As you explore the valleys and ridges, you'll come across many Buddhist temples and hermitages scattered all over the gentle slopes. Each season brings something visually unique to the park, so bring your camera and hiking shoes to experience those moments. Always carry extra water with you, and check the weather conditions in order to dress yourself properly for exploration. Put Bukhansan National Park and other Seoul attractions into our Seoul trip planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

Good place to clear the mind. I took the hard route up which was the fastest. Lots of climbing so a good hiking pole is needed if you wanna save your knees going up and especially on the way down...

Best destination in Seoul ever!! There are many trails that you can take here and most of the trails lead you to amazing destinations. The effort to reach those destinations is high but the panoramic views are well worth every steps you took. We took the hard trail to go to Baekundae peak and it was tough. However, the experience was something that we will never forget!

The best views of Seoul you can get. The foliage was gorgeous during autumn. The walkways are well kept and you can get an English map from the visitors centre. There are intermittent first aid kits on the trail but minimal access to water.

Fabulous! Wonderful and demanding hiking. Lovely greenery and views. Good signage, but be prepared for rocky trails. Many visitors used walking sticks to steady themselves over the many uneven sections. The park information office and a trail start in Jeongneung is a single bus ride from Hongdae to the park office, so use public transport. The helpful park office provide free basic paper maps that show the ease/difficulty of each trail section - very useful.

Extremely good place for those who wanna try doing adventurous activities and also enjoying the mountainous sceneries with fresh and cool air! Remember that toilets are closed during winter and some areas are still in construction so if you do have sufficient tools and skill, I recommend just going as far as you think it is safe only and be careful with the slippery of snow.

Good view. There are multiple tracks. If you are not regular in trekking, you have to choose the track carefully. Try to avoid tar roads. The view is very good from the top. There are many good test areas on the way.
