Museum SAN, Wonju

My second visit and certainly not my last. One of my favorite museums in the world. Everything is on so much harmony with nature and the James Turrell exhibition is absolutely mind blowing.

Absolutely worth checking out, especially in order to see and experience the gorgeous architecture that harmoniously embraces the surrounding natures. The art exhibitions going on may seem to be a bit unfocused but they are enjoyable enough, Nam June Paik's piece being one of the key objects.

An incredible experience and well worth the trip from Seoul! The meditation is a must. I had only planned to come for a couple of hours (stayed for 5) and was just going to see the main gallery and James Turrell works, however when purchasing my ticketed they suggested the meditation as well and I thought why not, the meditation ended up being the best part of the experience even though I can’t speak Korean the instructor did her best to accommodate and was so lovely. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed and was greeted with warm tea after leaving the meditation room just made it even better. I would also highly recommend the Wonju city tour bus for getting there if you are coming from Wonju or Seoul (you can get it from KTX station) only 5000 won for an all day pass and you get 20% discount on museum entry, it’s also a great way to see the sights of Wonju.

Beautiful, serene location and an interesting art collection.

It was my first time here. but I am pretty sure not last time. This museum was so different, I have been a lot of museums but this one was the best that I have ever been. I liked each corner here , it`s so aesthetic, would like to stay here for an hours to explore each corner. I put here a lot of photos so you can feel the atmosphere of museum. If you are in Wonju make sure to go here, otherwise you will miss really the best museum ever.
