Create an itinerary including Teatre Ròma
Teatre Ròma offers a peek at Roman life in 123 BCE. You can see remains of an amphitheater, the forum, and residential homes. This Roman city was built away from its port to lessen the danger of pirate attacks. As you walk out to the theater, you’ll get a sense of its significant size, as the most important Roman settlement on the Balearic islands. Be prepared for sun and heat during the summer. • The old Roman town of Pollentia is just outside the old town of Alcudia. It is nicely laid out with signs and QR codes for more explanations. The entry price of only €4 also includes the museum...

  • For somebody interested in the early history of Mallorca there are two places very much worth visiting: Ses Paises near Artà from the Talaiotic culture and Pollentia from the following Roman period...

  • Good to see that is not been modernised for tourism too much. Back gate was closed when we walked down.
  • The theatre looks very nice but to see it you will need to buy a ticket. It was not so expensive and allows you to check another archaeologicals findings (which were also interesting).
  • Amazing place to visit, so interesting for the kids and a nice peaceful walk in the countryside to get down to the theatre. Remember to take water as you cannot get any once you have reached the end and it's a longish walk back.
  • At €4 to enter this is pretty reasonable to see the roman ruins...Can't say I was that impressed though until we walked down (about 10 minutes) to the roman amphitheatre at the bottom of the site. I found that part very cool and I found myself sitting there imagining a roman show and what life was like all those centuries ago... Was only there for about 45 minutes but worth the admission price just for the amphitheatre.
  • Roman ruins near Albufeira. Interesting to see if nothing else to do. The amphitheatre at the end is nice to sit down in the shade of the trees.
