  • The travel books do this site a disservice as they don't explain the grandeur & size. Once word gets out there will be crowds. Hardly anyone there. Absolutely worthwhile.

  • Definitely a must see while in Barcelona. Former hospital build around 1910 turned into a cultural and historical place / museum. Each building is unique and the architectural details are astonishing. Hard to describe, you simply have to look at the photos!
  • This is one of my most favorite places to visit in Barcelona. It is less known but well worth the tour. The art and philosophie behind the architecture and design is spectacular. I look forward to returning on my next visit and spending more time.
  • A very extraordinary experience. The best part was that everything was written in English as well. A hospital build during 1400 and the items preserved are superb. It was a thrilling experience. A hospital museum. Worth it !! Must visit when you are in Barcelona.
  • This is a wonderful and interesting place to visit in Barcelona that a lot of people may miss. We only went there because a friend recommended it to us. Get the audio tour and it will take several hours the navigate the entire place. It is an old hospital, originally designed for the poor, with the philosophy that nature, art and open spaces are essential for healing. It was quite progressive for medical practices in its day. And the entire facility is stunningly gorgeous!
  • Large area walking distance in the city to get to. We came towards the end of the day so we had about 1 hour before closing. We obviously walked pretty quickly but was able to see lots and read lots about the old hospital. Some buildings were closed due to the pandemic but that was as to be expected. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us since we were in the last group. I really loved seeing the old Xray Machine and amazing equipment they had displaced. Great thing to see that's less crowded than the typical touristy places.
