One of the finest examples of Eclectic architecture in Spain, Palacio de la Diputacion serves as the seat of the government of Biscay's executive branch. The 1900 building oozes grandeur, constructed to reflect the bourgeoisie's economic power. Swing by to admire its stunning facade, featuring a public-ceremony balcony and the province's coat of arms, or explore inside to glimpse its ornately decorated rooms. The lavish throne room, inspired by Versailles, is home to two significant 19th-century murals by famous Basque artist José Echenagusía Errazquin.
