Create an itinerary including Historic Centre of Cordoba
One of the largest of its kind in Europe, Historic Centre of Cordoba contains structures from Roman, Arabic, and Christian times. From the Romans, you’ll see a bridge; from the Jews, a synagogue; from the caliphs, the baths and mosque; and from the Christian Monarchs, the Alcázar. The mosque’s arches particularly impress. You might even find yourself thinking of Marrakech here. Don’t miss the tapas bars. • An excellent place to visit, almost as impressive as Seville, but on a much smaller scale. There is so much to see and do, but one place really stood out. There is a small wine bar called 'Banos...

  • If you’re planning to visit Spain, and you want to visit Andalusia, this is one of the sights you must visit. It’s right in the center of old Cordoba. The tower has amazing views of the complex as well as the city of Cordoba, where you can see a sea of white Andalusian architecture. The interior is one of the Mose iconic places in all Spain. Seeing Islam and Christian design mix is incredible. They seem to complement each other.
  • You must bust the center of Córdoba if plan to visit anywhere near or inside the city. The Cathedral-Mosque dominates the skyline imposing its grandeur on over the town. There are tourist trap shops all around it, but good food and local bars are just a street or two hidden behind those. Spend at least a few hours wandering around the area and get lost in beautiful history and flowers in the spring.
  • Wow..wow what a marvel of a City.So much history and so many things to do and see. I was blown away with the architecture and beautiful city center.. especially the old town, where you can imagine how it was like to live here all those centuries ago. Amazing Restaurant so full of tasty wholesome typical dishes. Warm and friendly locals who are more than willing to help you. It's a place waiting to be explored. I will return.
  • Amazing history and architecture. Visited early March, so there are no lines and easy to take pictures without crowds behind your back. The place has free pamphlets describing major historical milestones and the structure of the building.
  • After the end of the trip in Andalusia I can say that in my opinion Cordoba is the most beautiful. The city has a special character that has been preserved over the years, something you don't see in Seville or Ronda, etc. The tour of the city gives a very pleasant feeling of a past that still exists in the city. The Cordoba Cathedral is special in its architecture, motifs that are unique to it in the characterization of its special ceilings. Alcazar, which also has pleasant fountains and gardens, the passage between which creates a pleasant atmosphere of calm and peace. The Roman bridge overlooks the river that crosses the city and the amazing sight of the cathedral at night is stunning. There is of course the Jewish motif of the city. The Rambam statue, the Jewish Synagogue and the Museum of Sephardic Judaism. The whole area is very reminiscent of Morocco, so we realized on this trip that Spanish deportees actually brought Andalusian culture to Morocco. The shops, clothes, shoes, kaftan and even souvenirs that everything looks like in Morocco. Of course, the whole area is dotted with quality and pleasant restaurants and hotels, mostly in the style of the cathedral. We spent two days in the city and it still seems to me that we didn't see everything.
