We walked up the hill to the church and found a string quartet playing inside. Very beautiful music echoed inside the church. There is a pretty cemetry nearby.

The walk up to the church is through the beautiful town full of old homes that are very well kept. They also have a very pretty cemetery right next to it that is free to visit as long as you respect the location. Great views from here as it sits atop a hill overlooking the sea and with the mountainous backdrop

It is an old religious building. A.D 1497 (approx). Originally, there was a small defensive fortress on this site. The height of the church hill is 623 ft a.s.l. There are two theories. First theory - the church's tower is a remnant of the defensive tower. The Second theory - after a great fire in 1752, the church was rebuilt. Next, the church received the tower. After the fire, a wooden sculpture of St. Onuphrius miraculously survived. It is an important sculpture for the local Christian community. Església de Sant Joan Baptista is a place full of silence and reflection above past and future life. I visited in July 2021. My recommendation.
