  • Great to learn about the life of such a talented writer and his experiences of an avant garde and progressive lifestyle in the early 20th century when perspectives were not so liberated. His story and the exhibition of his things gave a very intimate and personal insight to his life in Deia which I found captivating.
  • We had a wonderful time exploring the home of Robert Graves but even more amazing was the conversation and fruits we shared with Michael who manages the property and tends to the garden. We'll be back!
  • Even if you know little about Robert Graves, the author of I Claudius, you will find this house and museum worth a close look. The setting is gorgeous, the introductory video informative and well produced, and the house and garden full of memorabilia from the times Robert lived there. Robert's study and print room look as if he's just popped out to to the pretty village of Deia not far from Soller. Lovely gardens and views here too.
  • A must see next time you are in Deia. Just as his grave in the local cemetery, Robert Graves' house was equally very humble, but it somehow manages to give a sence of grandeur and excellence to the villa and surrounding gardens. It's nestled by vinards, olive trees, and an array of colourful flowers and other Mediterranean shrubs. The view from the trreaces is breathtaking. As you wall through the door into the hall a coat hanger greets you with a series of straw hats and overalls the type the local used to wear. I wont say more, even though Im tempted. Its for you to see and enjoy as much as I am my family enjoyed being there and experiencing a multitude of sentimens which in a strange way makes you humble by the grandeur of such an outstanding man and prolific writer, poet and playwrite. I thoroughly recommend it.
  • If you have read Graves or about his life in Deia, the house is fascinating.
