Monestir de Miramar, Deia

PROs: there are a couple of very nice view points. An olive tree garden, some flower gardens and some smaller rooms to visit. CONs: Except the views, nothing to do and to learn about the place .. there was just a plastic foiled piece of paper we got from entrance. That was it. The place is rarely visited and the gatekeeper is not always at the counter. We did not waited to long though. Overall, nice views though for some pictures.

Great place to visit to discover the history of the place and to walk with a nice view!

Beatiful place, nice garden with views... But you can see the same from other places in surrounding for free. They say that the house is the oldest house in Mallorca... There is a small exhibition without guide. Not interesting for me. Price 4 EUR/adult.

We wanted to add some interresting stop to out trip on our way to Sóller from Valldemossa and this seemed as suitable spot. At first we liked parking between olive oil trees which was unusual experience. Then strange dubious individual with dog appeared, he did not respond to greetings, then just went back to his shack. So we started exploring on our own. There was a sign that entrance fee is 4 Euros, seemingly to the museum. Then we saw that other group of several tourists walked right into the gardens and we thought that there is probably a museum inside and that we can walk around the gardens, which is quite usual that gardens are free even in much more tourist locations. Without interest from anybody we tried to walk into the gardens (gate was open with no signs) to see how this place is organized. After seconds all of a sudden that dubious character appeared shouting and sending his dog to bark at us. He was very rude and almost did not speak english. It turned out he was supposed to be the cashier. He treated us almost like criminals and only shouted "outside, outside". Then he thought that with this kind of treatment we would pay the fee and go inside. Sorry, but there was no need to be that rude and if he did politely greet us uppon arrival we would probably pay and go inside. We were only tourists arriving at that time and he could pay some basic attention to us as it is his main job. Disgusted we left and we will never know why those other people went without paying and we could not.
