Bodegas Marques de Riscal, Elciego

Had a wonderful stay there for my birthday. Approaching the hotel is just a wow moment in itself. The room was lovely...and the bed super comfortable....loved the huge bathroom. The wine tour is definitely worth it..Oscar, our groups guide explained everything so well, very interesting to walk around and learn about the history and the way the bodega works. We ate at the Michelin restaurant which was such an experience. The staff were excellent and the tasting menu a delight. We also briefly visited the relaxing spa! There was an issue with the electricity in the evening for a few hours constantly cutting out (some lights on the room) and no call from the reception to let us know what was happening. We had eaten by then when it was at its worst...but I can imagine the diners would not have had a great experience.

The best winery in the world.. We were pleased that we had a private tour from Sarah. What a treat, what a culture and history. I won’t tell to much, if you are on your way through, try to fit it in your trip, Must visit!

Booked the hotel months upfront. It is definitely an excellent place to stay in Rioja. But the service in the hotel is poor. If you want to eat or drink do so before you arrive. The hotel has two restaurants but is unable to serve al the hotel guest. The inflexibility of the bar is terrible. Will never go there again.

Excellent hotel, expectacular view, great vineyard , awesome get away. If you want a romantic , memorable and fun time, this is where you have to come. Every buck you spend is worth it! Don't pass on it .

Stunning hotel with increíble service. Stayed here for honey moon and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and made our stay extra special with some presents in the room and an upgrade to an suite due to Marriot Titanium status. The Marques winery is conveniently located with the hotel which makes for great touring within the grounds. The hotel is very comfortable and has great amenities like a pool, gym and steam room. The rooms are spacious; we had a room facing the back of the hotel towards the vineyards which in a way was nicer than facing the large front of the hotel. Lastly the restaurants serve great food with a great wine list featuring wines from across the region. Highly recommend the experience!
