Create an itinerary including Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles)
One of Girona’s 11 bridges, Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles) shines bright red and spans the place where four rivers meet. Eiffel’s Parisian architecture firm constructed this bridge before it built the Eiffel Tower. It replaced the old wooden bridges, which were frequently destroyed by floods. Take the time to stroll across and consider medieval Girona, a place divided by the rivers, as compared to modern, united Girona. • Attractive red bridge by the same Eiffel that architected and planned the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Take a few snaps and move on.

  • One of the most favorite locations among tourists. The bridge is a red metal structure - which is why the structure is sometimes called the "red beam bridge" - was installed to replace the old...

  • Pont de les Peixateries Velles - A remarkable architectural wonder: the Eiffel Bridge in Girona, Spain with a great view at the colourful houses at the Riverside. The Eiffel Bridge was constructed where four rivers meet. Girona has got eleven bridges!! The most famous is the one that was constructed by Gustave Eiffel - The Girona Steel Bridge (painted in Red) was built in 1876 by Gustav Eiffel, a French engineer with German roots.
  • There's several bridges that can take you across the Onyar River between the old and new sides of Girona. Most of them are pretty standard, but this one is unique with its red lattice frame. If you're crossing back and forth, you should at least make a point to take this footbridge at least once to check it out as well as views of the river.
  • An iron bride across the Onyar River constructed by Gustav Eiffel in the city of Girona.
  • A wonderful view point to the river, and a very close location to the old town and the Jewish quarter
  • It's one of the best views in Girona from where you can get many good pictures with its red metal structure. This bridge is catching eyes but you will find it always busy with everyone taking pictures of the city.
