A gem of the Catalonian coastline, Lloret Beach is one of the most visited beaches in Costa Brava and is consistently awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness. A highlight of the area is the Gothic church located near the sand, which has been rehabbed in Moorish, Byzantine, Renaissance, and Modernist style, funded with money gained from the colonization of the Americas. You'll also see the remaining tower of the Castle of Sant Joan from the beach, once part of a protective fortress, which has stood over the population since the 11th century. Many more stunning historic monuments adorn the coastal town near the water, including chapels, maritime museums, and settlements. • There is coarse sand, and the depth starts quite quickly. Toilets and showers. There is a car park, the beach is equipped with ramps and buoys, there is a rescue service and first aid points.

  • This beach has to be the best. Always nice & clean, due to being cleaned early in the morning every day. Never known anything like this in the UK.

  • Traveled here on the local bus from Tossa Dr Mar. Having got off at the main bus station it was not far to walk to the beach and along the cliff top path to climb up the rocky headline or further if you wish to. Nice sandy edge inlet swimming shallows. Well worth a day trip and worth the bus price. Check before returning as I thought I bought a return ticket but was informed otherwise at the ticket office bus station when I enquired about this. Nice scenic stroll along the promenade beach front and returned back to the bus station down the back streets.
  • Very nice beach (not fine soft sand) and beautiful water. On south side there is a stone coastal pathway that leads to an overlook and castle ruins.
  • We had a walk during the day and cocktails at night. The ambient was so relaxing. Music whilst drinking sangria what else would you ask for. I had a great time
  • Nice place to visit, excellent food, lots of bars and clubs people are very welcoming the food pictures are from the best restaurant by far la tagliatellia located on the far end of the beach close to the castle.
  • Really long and nice beach. A bit crowded but the water is clean, clear and warm.
