Walking along the streets of Madrid we came across this park lit in the most unusual manner. It evoked a feeling of Alice in Wonderland. A fabulous experience.

This 8-acre park opened in 1781 has been much transformed over the years. Today it is divided into 7 outdoor sections with greenhouses whose plants are unsuited to Madrid's Continental Mediterranean..... more

Visited these gardens in October at a cost of four euros each. Very poorly maintained and little out in bloom. Nice to have a stroll around for an hour but not really worth paying for

Very beautiful botanical gardens has a variety of trees and plants from all over the world. Entry fee is 4 euros for the gardens only and 6 for gardens + exposition. For students under 25 its 1 and 3 euros. There is also a great greenhouse that demonstrates different ecosystems such as deserts and forests. There was also an exceptional collection of bonsai trees. The gardens are well maintained and there are people everywhere taking care of the plants. There are also plenty if places to sit and enjoy the gardens

Very beautiful and well maintained Botanical gardens! It's breath of fresh air walking there! I felt happy and relaxed in this place. They had rich varieties of plants and very beautiful arranged 😍 Also there is a coffee where you can relax and drink some refreshments under the shadows of the trees.

A rather large and interesting botanical garden. Beginning of October is not the time to expect many flowers. Spring, probably, is better time for that. However, even in October you will find some nice flowers and colors in this garden, as I did. A nice place for a walk and observations of nature in the city. There are enough places to sit in the shadow or in the sun shine, as one likes. I spent 3,5 hours in this garden.

Even though we visited in February, there were few flowers to see. The next months for sure, look more promising. The garden is big and the staff is working constantly to maintain the plants. I especially enjoyed the bonsai collection.

Really pleasant experience right next to the Prado Museum. Nice selection of flowers and other plants. A great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for an hour or two. Nice shady benches to relax. A cafe and a gif shop as well. 4 euro entry fee.
