Create an itinerary including Vall de Boquer
Wind your way along the path at Vall de Boquer to find migratory birds, indigenous goats, and sweeping Mediterranean views. From its beginning at a stone farm house, the path runs 3 km (1.9 mi) northeast from Port de Pollenca to the sea at Cala Boquer. At the path's apex, among stony monoliths, gaze out at the azure sea stretching as far as the eye can see. Pack a picnic to enjoy down at the bay or in one of the clearings off the trail. Keep your eye out for the Blue Rock Thrushes that call the valley home--and don't forget to wear sturdy shoes, as parts of the path can get a little rocky. • I know you can view great scenes from anywhere but here, it is only through a very small platform as most area is private property. The hike is through craggy paths to high elevation.

  • Pleasant walk best tackled early in the morning before the sun reaches the valley. The descent to the beach is steep and technical with tracks going off in dozens of directions. Not a problem if you enjoy and are used to walking. Not one for the less able or infirm. Small pleasant cove at the end for rest and recovery before returning.
  • You have to walk about 30-35 min approx to get to the cove. It is very virgin and is highly recommended for snorkeling. I saw a black moray eel while diving. On the beach there are wild goats that come to ask for food. Very top.
  • In fact, the valley is solid fields. And tourists walk along the canyon from this valley to the beach, where there is no access. You leave the car in a free parking lot and walk past the house on the mountain, through 2 unlocked gates along a well-trodden path to the sea. First, a little up, then down the rocks, to the bay. September 26 was hot, 35 degrees in the sun. There is nowhere to hide in the shade. The journey took 50 minutes. Handsomely! We went swimming in the bay, sunbathed and went back.
  • Splendid!!! Except for the last descent to the bay! Only works with proper hiking shoes or similar.
  • Easy and popular hike to the bay. Can get a bit crowded at the weekend.
