Create an itinerary including Baños Arabes
Wander through the remains, passageways, and the underground chambers of Baños Arabes, the best conserved thermal baths from the Moorish times on the Iberian Peninsula. Tucked in at the old Arab quarter of the town, these 13th-century baths were located at the main entrance to the medina next to a mosque, so that the devotees could stop for ritual ablution before praying. The interior remains lit thanks to numerous star-shaped skylights. Take a few minutes to watch a short video and learn more about the layout and function of the baths. Note that this attraction is situated at the bottom of the gorge, so be prepared to take a steep hike back up to the main square. • It’s well worth taking the pleasant stroll down to these baths, which are fascinating to explore, particularly after watching the interesting video presentation when you arrive, which puts it all...

  • Absolutely fascinating place which has been very well set up. The video is in both Spanish and English and made the layout very clear.

  • The Banos Arabes is a must visit on a trip to Ronda. The best preserved in Spain. Very interesting and photogenic. Don't miss the short film explaining all about the baths.

  • Really enjoyed the visit, especially to inhabit the space itself which is quite interesting. The video for the presentation works really well to understand it. Recommend it.
  • Very interesting to visit the Arab Baths. Short video presentation in Spanish AND English - really educational. Great preservation of the site. Well worth a visit!!!
  • The video for this place was great! Really well made to properly understand the context in this attraction.
  • Amazing engineering! the place is in good shape, the video expains how things worked very well. make sure to go see the "tower" from where the water was "extracted" and the mini viaduct (in the garden, outside) also, you can better see the "boiling room" from the garden through a small "window" (more like a fences openning near the ground)
  • A very nice archeological site and museum. The restaurative work has been done exquisitely, so that one gets a good feeling of how these Arabian bath houses used to work and look, while maintaining the awareness of the time passed and their impressive age. The visit can well be done in 30-40 minutes. Staff is very friendly!
