  • There are glaring deficiencies in restoration that was done not well. Shame, it could be a huge crowd-puller.

  • We were too late to go inside but the walk up there and the views were stunning. It was the golden hour for taking photos and there is a wonderful atmosphere and sense of history and going back in...

  • Great church, much simpler in its design and space than many. High airy vaulted ceilings in calming grey stone, beautifully built. For 1€ you can visit the crypt. Lovely ceiling paintings done in...

  • first they took my money and then told me not to take photographs
  • Beautiful Romanesque church, with Gothic and Renaissance parts at the foot of the remains of the castle, which hides wonderful Romanesque frescoes in its crypt, which can only be visited if you do it with the guided tour (lasting 1.15 hours), which on the other hand is quite interesting. Cover that in its day must have been fantastic, but today it is very deteriorated due to erosion.
  • The oldest part of the cathedral dates back a thousand years. It is a place with a great history. King Ferdinand the Catholic, founder with Queen Isabella of Castile, of modern Spain, was baptized in this cathedral. It is a historical landmark of the country. Really beautiful.
  • I can understand that they charge for explaining it when they put it on a guided tour of several other points in the town. But when when we are approaching the portico, people come out with the guide, and close it in a hasty and sharp way as if we were going to plant a fire... anyway.
  • The architectural ensemble of the entire town is magnificent, but the parish of San Esteban is the jewel in the crown. Really beautiful to visit at sunset and observe its fantastic views from above.
