This is one of the very last places in Toledo to buy a sword made by hand. Despite Toledo paradoxically being famous for its swords, with sword displays in gift shops on every corner, the factory-made swords are driving the craftsmen extinct. But this place is so friendly and warm, knowledgeable and personable, that I cannot imagine buying a sword anywhere else. My fiancée and I are adopting a Spanish wedding tradition where a sword is used to ceremonially cut the first slice of the cake. Santiago understood this tradition and even offered to have Julio remove the lacquer from the sword on the spot so it would not ruin the taste of the cake. What service! Shipping cost 104 euros back to the USA-cheaper than it would have cost me to fly an extra bag home. I recommend going that route and avoiding the need to haul a very large nicely-packed box all over the streets. The in-store selection is limited but they seemed to have about one of every basic style you might want. They take custom orders and have an online catalog I would recommend checking out.

We had a great visit to the store. It felt like a private visit with the amount of time that was spent with us. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail. He took his time to give my family some history of swords and sword making. This is a must visit if your coming to Toledo!

Maestros de espadas en Toledo. A warm welcome and a true passion at every level of the ancient art of sword making. Thank you so much!

Amazing service spent time with my kid showing him the swords and letting him take a pic with it, and also after buying the sword the supported me with shipping outside spain :-) Amazing friendly

There were some Americans in the shop when we arrived chatting to Mariano they said they came all the way from New York to buy some of his knives, our turn next we must have spent an hour chatting to Mariano he is a lovely, helpful and informative chap he mentioned some of the TV he has done about blade making in Toledo, We bought a Mariano hand made sword and 2 knives well worth the visit. I would highly recommend visiting the only true hand made craftsman left in Toledo, all the other swords etc are machine made and the quality is inferior.
