One of the most singular interiors I have ever experienced. Is it a mosque? Wait, it's Catholic Church with sublime Moorish design? I'm so confused? Don't be! Just be amazed and enjoy the sublime, calming beauty of this architectural wonder that began life as a synagogue. It's a dazzling jewel, a fever dream of light and lightness, a place to contemplate and rejoice. One of Toledo's most beautiful sites, don't miss it.

This mosque-looking construction, which was built as a synagogue is well worth the visit! How bright the interior white columns are making the inside. The pillars which widespread and the niches to pray in golden at one side. But already the outside is attracting visitors to the premises. The entrance fee is fair and included in the Toledo wristband, which counts for numerous other sights as well. Groups can be accommodated and overall, I recommend a licensed tourist guide for the visit of the whole city of Toledo.

The name of Sinagoga de Santa María La Blanca is somewhat confusing. Here is what is supposed to be a Jewish synagogue with a very Catholic name. Like many other places in Toledo, what was once a synagogue or a mosque is now a church. Sinagoga Ben Shoshan is the original name of the place. It's a very simple building, but the inside is quite attractive. It only uses 2 colors, namely white and gold, a striking combination. Santa Maria La Blanca is one of 7 places that you can visit on the tourism bracelet of Toledo. The price is 10 Euros. It's valid for 3 days. A wise investment.

A beautiful 12 century synagog that has symmetrical architecture. If you purchase a €12 wrist band which includes all entry to the 7 biggest sights in Toledo, it’ll be worth it. The ceilings at the end of this synagog are precious with paintings.

A beautiful historic building and a place of worship right in the centre of Town. The decor and display is fascinating and it’s situated on the Main Street therefore easily accessible.
