The view from the castle is amazing. We have gone as a family a few times, if going in summer season go late (after 6pm) as otherwise it is very hot! Going for sunset is beautiful take a picnic...

The walk to the castle is doable for most people. It is sometimes steep, but not too far so perfect as a small activity in the morning (when it is not too hot yet). Park your car at the bottom in Toroella and start walking up, the trail is obvious and after about an hour you will be rewarded with some amazing views at the top.

Worth the walk up path up is very rocky in places see photos, would love to do the path on a MTB. Not much to see when you get up to the actual castle. Views are amazing though. Walking up I'd strongly recommend a hiking boot.

A very nice hike. The views are spectacular. They closed the trail due to fear of fires they day after I went. I would recommend going Early in the morning around 7am.

Morning hike. Views are beautiful. Took me 38 min to hike. So if your hike often, then this will be a walk in the park for you.

Nice place for having a short hike und enjoying the view. Actually even in the off season quite crowed, as the place is beautiful and well seen over miles 😊. But that's the way it is... Amazing it was taken a lot of efforts to secure the place so every one can enjoy it with reduced risk. Reachable via bus, car or bike. The parking lots are rather big and offer support in terms of toilet and water (think it wasn't marked wether it potable or not so at least in the summer bring some for the hike...)
