My First Paella Experiencias Gastronomicas, Valencia

My daughter and I had the absolute pleasure of learning the traditional Valèncian paella recipe. Our chef Ana was amazing, very charismatic and a joy to learn from! There was a fairly large group of people from many different places (Germany, Canada, France, America etc) who were also cooking with us and the atmosphere was super friendly and fun. Nothing brings strangers together like a beautiful meal! The paella tuned out magnificent and we definitely could’ve had more but the best thing about this cooking class is that we can go home and make it for ourselves. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Valencia.

My daughter and I encountered Valencian hospitality, generosity, warmth and humour with superb and professional culinary instruction in the class we took. It was truly a multi-sensory experience that we will never forget. The approach of the staff embodies the true meaning behind the making and sharing of food, and that is to celebrate the earth’s bounty, family, friendship, our connectedness to each other, and of course, love. I will return to Valencia one day, and will need to repeat this course, because where else can I justifiably imbibe four different types of alcohol in the course of preparing and making such an amazing dish? 😄Thank you to Chef Jose and your helpers! 🥰 Love you all!

This experience exceeded my expectations by far! What an amazing experience from start to end. I highly recommend this company if you want a hands on paella making experience while in Valencia. The staff was amazing - so so friendly and helpful. The experience of making the paella was so much fun and was definitely the highlight of the weekend in Valencia. Make sure you show up hungry (and thirsty!) as they provide a generous amount of tapas to start and unlimited sangria and wine, plus coffee and dessert. So worth it! 10/10!

Oh. My. God. What fun it was with the two chefs to cook the seafood paella! Tapas, good and not too sweet sangria, the course, free all you can drink drinks, dessert, coffee, all was included. A lot of jokes and laughter, a lot of experience shared with us. I was sad though, that some steps of the paella (like the seafood broth) were skipped and already prepared. Due to doing one huge Paella also some could participate less, we didn't all learn and do the same. They referred to their recipes on the web for that (which are badly described, so you won't be able to make a paella just with the information from the internet). Some questions we asked were not really answered, I guess sometimes communication was a bit troublesome, even if they and we all spoke pretty fluent English. I've been 2 days in Valencia and it's definitely one of my highlights! Come here, support them, do Paella!

This was an incredible experience! We visited Valencia with our whole family and this was a great experience to have with 15 people, ages 7-75. Everyone was able to participate and had a great time. Ana, Mireya and Jose put on a fun and educational afternoon for all of us. I highly recommend this for a small or big group.
