  • A tourist trap pressuring you to buy stuff at exorbitant prices and paying for "free" tour and massage. Avoid at any cost, just run. Tip: There is good ayurveda shop in Bentota with fixed reasonable prices.
  • Today we wisit: Kosgoda Spice Garden 777. We were greeted by friendly staff who refused us a parking spot. An exhibitor introduced us to the garden's history. And then started showing and telling us about plants and herbs. We saw vanilla, mimosa (don't touch me), cardamom, pepper, pineapple, sandalwood, and then he headed straight for the shoop. Although the garden was neat and tidy, there was not much to show and tell about. Think that due to lack of tourists, the garden was not 100% tip top. However, there was a very large, 400-year-old Salacia Reticulata tree, which with its "twisted" branches was very special. In the shop there were all kinds of products, beauty products, slimming products, hair removal products. etc. Had the tour been more comprehensive, we might have been more motivated to shop, even if the prices were on the high end for tourists. I would still give 4 out of 5 for the friendly staff and the nice garden, there is room for improvement for future tourists.
  • Nice small garden were you can see some plants growing and buy some products. Products are made in another aria. Expensive compared with other local stores. Nice and helpful staff able to present the benefits of the plants/products and make a demonstration in order to convince you to try this products. Overall nice experience.
  • Very informative about the health benefits of herb and spices
  • Nice spice garden.
