Talented artist with works displayed in a very interesting setting. A bit of a walk to the water but very nice trail.

fantastic place, well worth a visit. don't miss the guided tour

It is not really the museum that is by the sea but the studio (the text above belongs to a completely different museum in Eksjö). Nice house and beautiful view (+small swimming beach next door) in any case. However, the rather high entrance fee (SEK 80) means that you as a family hesitate to enter and definitely not more than once.

A small, picturesque and cozy museum about Albert Engström's life in a lovely setting housed in Engström's actual residence during the first half of the 20th century. Right next to it is also the summer café Kalaset. The studio shown in the pictures above, which Engström had closed, is about a 5-minute walk away from the museum right by the Åland Sea. There is also a nice swimming beach here. NOTE: The description of the museum above is taken from Wikipedia and concerns a museum in his home region of Småland and not the one in Grisslehamn!
-
wonderful place, beautiful views, it was fun to see and hear the guide tell. She was knowledgeable and good. Can imagine when AE had his friends out at the studio it was a lot of talk and creativity.
-
Very beautiful and scenic place. Unfortunately, both the museum and the studio were closed
