  • Absolutely love it. Such an underrated place. It is in the middle of nowhere (and you'll doubt you are at the right location), but stop the car, and walk up to the rock formations, and look at this amazing art. Completely open, and drawing are not protected at all, so please be careful to where you walk.
  • Amazing. Don't miss it. Allow a couple of hours to explore the area. Museum was closed when we were there in January. So bring a picnic.
  • Clearly marked paths and good information signs to read up on. Also offers free guided tours 2 times per day. Very nice gift shop and restaurant with friendly personnel.
  • This fascinating bronze age rock carvings are listed as an UNESCO world heritage site. The carvings are admission free and open 24 hours. There are information panels around the carvings, and the excellent Vitlycke Museum (free admission) has explanations on the history and meanings behind the carvings. (In the museum you can pick up a map showing the locations of other rock carvings in the region.) Further up the hill, there is a bronze age burial mound. Follow the signs, and watch out for uneven ground.
  • Cool to see the rock carvings and the reimagined Viking homes
