Trübsee is an intermediate cable car station by the Titlis Bergbahnen, Trüebsee is an Alpine lake on the Ober Trüebsee Alpine pasture in the upper part of the extensive municipality of Wolfenschiessen in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden. The lake lies at the foot of the Titlis above the village resort of Engelberg. It can be reached from the village by cable car, or via several alpine walking paths, e.g. the Pfaffenwand.The lake is a hydroelectric reservoir, providing water to the underground power station Trübsee near Engelberg, before flowing into the lake Eugenisee.

Trubsee is the middle station when going to the Mt. Titlis peak. Your entry ticket allows you to get off here and later proceed your journey, which I strongly suggest. Take a hike around this glacier.... more

I love this place so much. I have been there multiple times and cant get bored of this location. I can strongly recommend a beautiful hike from Truebsee to Engstensee and further called MARMOT...

An easy trip up to the Trübsee! Definitely worth it plus it's an easy walk around the lake. Fantastic views across the valley!

A wonderland! The lake is right out of cable car Strand stop. No words can describe the beauty when Titlis’s shadow reflected on a wind-less Trubsee in autumn (we visited on Oct 30). It felt like a dream. Take a walk around the lake, each angle has different view. there’re plenty of playgrounds for kids all the way, very considerate design. Also a very vibrant restaurant/terrace there (in adjacent to cable car stop)

gorgeous place for wild camping. The lake is filled with glacier water but astonishingly it isn't so cold, we had a great swim (in July)

Trübsee lake is in between two cable car station when you are visiting mount Titlis. It can be reached via hike or cablecar. I highly recommend to walk around the lake and at the end of your walk take the free boats and try to row in to thr middle. Your efforts will be rewarded and you can relax at the middle!

Beautiful hike from Engelberg to Trübsee with my dog. The scenery is gorgeous, the lake was excellent for swimming in according to my dog😍💦 we actually went twice during our 3-4 days here because it was so nice!

Small but Very beautiful lake. Mountain flower trail starts from here which has gorgeous scenery but long long way to Engelberg train station. If you like sightseeing but not good at hiking, it's recommended walking around the lake then going back to cable car station.
