The Jardin anglais (literally "English garden") is an urban park in Geneva, Switzerland, situated at the location of an ancient harbor and a wood. It marks the beginning of the Quai Gustave-Ador.For Jardin Anglais and beyond, use our Geneva trip website to get the most from your Geneva vacation.
The park was created in 1855. In 1863 the building process of the Pont du Mont-Blanc changed the park to its actual form – a trapezoid/trapezium of 25430 m2.
The Park hosts the Le monument national and the L'horloge fleurie (or Flower clock), besides several pavilions, a sculpted bronze fountain by Alexis Andre and a coffeehouse.
Annually, it hosts the Geneva Christmas Market.

Quite interesting and there were plenty of people there when we were there trying to get a photo. Most tourist tours seem to stop here and I got the impression it is on the must do list.

It's nothing spectacular but in my view a must to visit as Geneva is a watch city and the flower watch is like another symbol of the city. It is also easy and after the visit you can easily walk in...

This flower clock is renowned as a main attraction in Geneva. Even before I knew anything about the city I knew of this clock. Keep your expectations reasonable and to a minimum. It is nice and very well maintained but not really something that is that noteworthy in person. Better to see it as a part of walking/train tours.

Beautiful gardens right next to Lake Geneva. At the edge of the garden is the famous Geneva Flower Clock which can also be seen from the road. The garden is well maintained and has plenty of benches to sit and relax. There is a drinking water fountain as well. Entrance to the garden and to the Flower Clock is free. Worth visiting and spending time here.

Tough to rate this. It's a clock made of flowers. Unfortunately when we were there it was all dug up and being redone, so not much to look at really. The adjoining park is very nice though. Well maintained and clean. Lake Geneva is also quite nice. Very clean.

A beautiful park due-south of Lake Geneva well worth a stop. The flower clock is definitely a tourist attraction, and not something worth spending much time at- but the rest of the park overlooks the lake and is gorgeous, with a nice breeze and plenty of shade available. While I was there, two different street musicians cane through and played- so you very well may get some entertainment along the way, too!

Small park in English style that is gives you great views of the lake & the promenade that runs along it. A nice way to end a walk through the city if you're coming down the hill from the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre area. It has a Ferris wheel, a monumental fountain and several 100 year old trees. Regularly hosts events. When I last visited, there was a Christmas Market ongoing.
