Create an itinerary including Trümmelbachfälle
Hike around the massive subterranean Trümmelbachfälle, which cascade down a narrow slot canyon carved out by natural forces over thousands of years. Illuminated and accessible to visitors by a tunnel elevator, the World Heritage-listed falls drain the melting snow and ice from three glaciers, carrying up to 20,000 l (5,200 gal) of water per second. The water crashing down the tight canyon walls generates a constant mist in the air and makes the walking paths extremely slippery, so be sure to wear a waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes with non-slip soles. Once you tire of the cave-like tunnels, hike to nearby Lauterbrunnen, an unspoiled village nestled between the walls of a sheer-sided valley. • If you’re in the area you must see this waterfall. It is one of the best waterfalls I’ve seen. A small fee to get in but we’ll worth it. Great views on the way up too.

  • Definitely worth a visit. Plan for an hour if it's not too crowded. Lots of steps and plenty of warnings that it could be dangerous for young children so proper supervision is a must. It gets quite chilly inside so bring a jacket (waterproof is helpful but not an absolute). Delightful pastries and other refreshments are available just before the ticket booth.
  • It was absolutely one of the best waterfalls I’ve ever seen before. It’s so amazing and you can walk inside the mountain and you’ll see beautiful view. Moreover it was really cold inside the mountain So you have to make sure that you’re wearing well . Finally I will really recommending you to visit there for an hour it’ll be great for you.
  • These are the hidden waterfalls. The only one which is hidden inside the mountains. Its another brilliant example of Swiss engineering. Its a must visit attraction. It lies in the picturesque valley of Lauterbrunnen. Its a must visit location. The stairs leading to the falls can be slippery so exercise caution. The view and the sound of the falls is very peace giving. Its therapeutic.
  • Thundering waterfalls inside a mountain - you can really feel the awesome power of nature! You get to ascend the mountain through a tunnel lift, walk through cave-like tunnels, and see the roaring falls at lots of different locations and view-points. It was a great experience. Does get a bit cold in there! It costs CHF12 per adult and you can buy tickets there. I went in early June so the waterfall was great, and on a weekday so not too many people. Not sure about other seasons.
  • Amazing natural beauty, was fabulous to cool off inside this impressive waterfall. We did have to queue for around 30 mins but worth it once inside. You can take the funicular to mid way up, fun little parts were you get really wet
