The Nine Towers, Lucerne

Bit of a steep climb up here, but this is a lovely walk across the top of town - the towers were part of the original fortifications. You can go up them during the spring and summer for great views

Gloriously preserved they are a proudly unique symbol of the city. Strolling along the pathway in the afternoon sun was delightful. Grand to see all nine. And to ascend to parts of the fortification....  more
