Just beautiful! Amazingly quiet above the city of Lugano. Easily accessible by funicular with variable opportunities to enjoy the view on all sides of the mountain top. A children’s treasure hike with perfect signing. Only accessible on foot, but motivating for children to walk and enjoy while learning facts about the surrounding nature. Great place to witness the sunset even on a misty winter day.

Beautiful view. Can go via funicolare or hiking. Both are fun. Hiking trail becomes slippery during snowfall otherwise it is awesome.

Although the funicular ride is a bit pricey (26 CHF per person, 2-way ticket), it's absolutely worth it. The views are amazing and there's a restaurant up there (we didn't try it as we had just had breakfast at our hotel) and some hiking trails, but also a nice paved trail that goes up to a church with a gorgeous panoramic view of the region, and it's fairly easy to do (not wheelchair friendly, but elderly people with good mobility won't find it too hard, I think). The toilets were also clean.

One of the highlight in Lugano. Walked from Ciona parking up to San Salvatore. Lovely walk throught the forrest. The view on top has 360 views over Lake Lugano and on the west you can see Monte Rosa peak with Glaciers. The view of San Salvatore at sunset is great from Monte Bre
