Fondation Beyeler operates the museum that owns and exhibits the art collection of the late Ernst and Hildy Beyler. The husband-and-wife couple amassed a large collection of modern classics during their lifetimes. A highlight of the museum is the collection of 23 pieces by Pablo Picasso; the museum also features works by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Andy Warhol. The Beyelers created the foundation and museum to house their substantial art collection and provide public access to the pieces. The museum's glazed building sits nestled in Berowerpark, where special exhibits periodically take place. • A small museum on size but with the highest level of modern painting from the most famous artists. A series of well organized top exhibitions though out the year. The building itself is also a piece of fine art and well integrated into the nature environment. It’s free admission to all below 26 years old.
  • Fantastic museum for modern/contemporary art. We caught the Mondrian exhibit, which was really eye-opening, showing his progression in style. The room with a giant Monet juxtaposed with a Gerhard Richter piece is another highlight. The architecture and design of the building itself is also very cool, and there are some pleasant outdoor spaces associated with it as well. The museum is very easy to get to via bus.
  • I'm a huge fan of the Museum. The collection is great, with modern art and a Garden with statues and installations that are always impressive. They have a nice cafe too, but the best part is that it has temporary exhibitions that range from stunning to jaw-dropping!
  • One of the most beautiful museums I have ever seen. Amazing exhibitions, great collection, unbelievable garden outside the museum. Definitely worth to come, must see ❤️
  • An incredibly well curated collection and museum! The gift shop is the bomb! The cafe is extraordinary! LOVE LOVE LOVE this museum and it is fitting that the man who started Art Basel should do this.
