It is a nice hike up to the tower but on a clear day you are rewarded with a great mountain view. Säntis and the Churfirsten at their best.

It's a beautiful view from up top. I suggest going on a clear day and either at sunrise or sunset. Like this you can make the most beautiful photos!

Not to be missed when visiting or going for walks in Wil. Another great attraction would also be the Wil Bush, located by the roundabout nearby the old city.

A nice place at the top of the hill. The wooden tower isn't too high, but high enough to tower over the trees and provide a pretty landscape view of mountains south of the town.

The platform on the top of Wiler Turm gives a good panoramic view of the city of Wil and its neighbouring areas. The scenic views along the journey to this tower makes the trip very worthwhile.

I rented a hybrid bike and rode up the steep hill to the top where the tower is located. The first part of the hill is a paved road in a nice neighborhood with plenty of room for bikes or pedestrians. Then the road turns to single lane as you leave the neighborhood and enter the countryside. The road does become packed gravel, but well maintained. Once at the tower, you will have to climb a spiral staircase to the top for a 360 degree view of the region. Truly spectacular! It was well worth the effort.
