Stellisee is the most beautiful lake here. The scenery is breathtaking and the sheep are so cute. Love the sound of the bell and it is the memory in Swiss. Although hiking a long way is a little tiresome but it is absolutely worthy.

Visited in April during ski season when the area was still thick with snow. We hiked the area rather than skied and it was readily accessible. Great view of Matterhorn from here and of the surrounding areas. Although we didn’t get to see the lakes as they were frozen and covered with snow, it was still a magical place with clean crisp air, clear dark blue sky and fantastic views. We spent a long time just sat here admiring the scenery, almost tasting the freshness in the air whilst watching others ski and looking like tiny specks against the vast mountain areas. Would love to visit again in the summer season to see the area in all of its greenery, although it was fantastic covered with snow.
