For an exceptional view of the Matterhorn, visit Sunnegga, a ski domain that makes up part of Zermatt resort. You can reach the area by underground funicular, which travels to the 2,288 m (7,506 ft) peak in just four-and-a-half minutes. The area has many beginner runs, making it a good option for families, and benefits from all-day sun, which helps to moderate the chilly weather on top.     I haven’t experienced Zermatt with so little snow or none lower down, the treck from Zermatt to Sunnegga is a light to middle hike depending on your fitness, views galore walking through the lower...

    The funicular was a lot of fun! Once you arrive at the top, the views are amazing! Great place to have a drink and take great photos!

    Joking apart the Sunnega railway up through the mountain gives you stunning views of the magnificent Matterhorn and there is a short walk down to the delightful Leisee lake and Wolli play park.
