  • Incredibly beautiful and tranquil. We came during weekdays and there were very few visitors. We almost had the whole forest to ourselves. The temperature was around 15-17C, cool and pleasant. You can walk for miles without feeling tired. Recommend to visit 水山神木 besides the mail trails.
  • The best highlight of our trip to Taiwan. I take my hats off to the Forestry Bureau of Taiwan for its tremendously well-managed preservation of this natural wonder. The experience was not only a breath of fresh air (literally) but educational too as it showcased the different timbers around the forest and the historical railway technology existing even back in the day built by the Japanese. One must not miss visiting this park when travelling to Taiwan!!
  • Absolutely stunning, and peaceful! (Phytoncine overload), the hike were easy, and beautiful, there are many routes to explore the forest. It’s a place suitable for all ages, as they do have trains (old school) to take you around, but still require some hike if you want to explore all the sacred trees, and some famous attractions within the park. Definitely a place to visit if you’re ever in Taiwan, you wouldn’t want to miss it.
  • What a marvellous place to visit to remove yourself from the heat and bustle of the major sea level cities of Taiwan. Easy access by car, bus or train with numerous accommodations spent two days hiked, watch a sunrise and hiked Some more. Highly recommended a must, put in top five places to visit.
  • had a great time here. it's possible to do a decent 3-4 hour leisurely walk (with time to take photos) within a day but do take note of the bus timings! it's a beautiful place and there are adequate rest areas and washrooms, not many people around, there is a food area at the temple where you can get tea eggs, aiyu etc and souvenirs. also had dumplings at the food centre near the entrance. the weather was good in november. can't wait to visit again!
