Deyang Quchujian Exhibition Hall, Tainan

It reflects one of the greatest technologies that the world had in the past. Though it was meant for the war, it meant much more than that. Good to check this vessel in and out. Can spend at least few hours on that. Those transformers models installed on that were really amazing with great detailing. Even people who aren't familiar with the transformers movie series would appreciate them. Worth visiting as a short family trip if you are in Tainan.

Glad I brought my old man and family to this place. This was the one that my dad started his career in the navy (he was the ASW officer at the time). The old man gave us a tour on the ship and told much about the ship, even shared some stories back then. It is quite well preserved, but still far from being a museum, comparing to HMS Belfast in London, UK. Only limited places are open to the public and some of the exhibitions aren't well maintained. But, it is a start! Letting people know the history is important.

Worth paying 80NTD if you are a student and 100 ntd for others. The ship is a real ship which provides experience and enhances knowledge about how navy people live in the middle of the sea. Also, the air plane & tank is good. Better to go in the morning to avoid rush. Because too many people are there which blocks when you are taking pictures. There are washrooms and some food stalls available. Parking for bikes is 20ntd/hr but nobody cares. You can rent a two wheeler for a Tainan trip which is easy to enjoy a nice view on the road trip. Barely 6-7km from Tainan railway 🚂 station.

It's a wonderful ship to explore, especially considering that it has the single 5in/38cal mounts instead of the double that's usually found on Gearing classes. It's a slight pity that the museum has to remove the double mounts due to weight and structural issues but that doesn't take away anything from the trip. All in all a must go for any warship fans, especially old WWII era destroyers.

though the place is small but its quiet nice. You can get cool pictures out there. And just walking distance you can go to the park there in tainan.
