National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, Checheng

Beautiful museum & aquarium with many exhibition halls, tunnels and open spaces. We spent almost 5 hours there and we didn't complete it all! It has three big areas (Waters of Taiwan, Coral Kingdom and Waters of the World) all with magnificent displays and exhibitions. Definitely a MUST SEE if you go to Kenting! Perfect for a wonderful family day! 💙🫶👍👍

5 stars. This place is huge and wonderful. It has a lot of exhibitions of marine life. Among the most famous are the whales, penguins, dolphins, beluga and jellyfish. It takes about 3-5 house to know it well, but I recommend to split the visit in two days and to take the night tour in which food and overnight stay are included. It has three great exhibitions, Water of Taiwan, which shows endemic animals, Coral reefs and Waters of the world. One of the most outstanding attractions are the underwater tunnels throigh which you can see Marine life. Totally worth it a couple of days visit.

Great place to visit and know the sea life. Our daughter was awestruck to see turtle, fishes, whales, penguins, etc. The feeding show is interesting to watch. Nice food available inside the museum. For kids one can borrow a stroller. The help desk and all the staff was very nice and attentive.

It’s a wonderful museum with large exhibitions, from penguins, beluga whale to ancient marine animals and a kelp forest. There are large water tanks with all sorts of fish, sharks and stingray. Certainly worth the visit if you’re in the area. The ocean view from the deck is fantastic, and there’s a wading pool with whale sculptures and fountains for kids to play in. Great for a hot summer day!

Nice place for couples, family to spend their free time to enjoy the atmosphere and have marine experience, especially for children to discover. However, I can't find the Taiwan foods or good restaurant with suitable price to eat lunch.
