  • Still a lovely old street. You will find lots of old/ancient Taiwanese culture and artifacts in this area besides the street food. It is a short narrow alley you have to manipulate.

  • Lugang is one of the oldest ports in Taiwan. Lugang means "deer port." Hundreds of years ago, Taiwan's main export was deer products, and Lugang was the main port to export deer products to China...

  • We ride tri bicycle to travel the area. A lot of cheap items to buy and food also. Good tourist place to visit in taiwan.
  • Amazing place!I 'll go back here again! One day is not enough!
  • Beautiful traditional district full of temples and shrines, food stalls, small shops, and more. It has a great atmosphere, and it even has some local buskers and performers.
  • Actually a really nice little Old Street to visit! It’s not as big as say Jiufen, but it also isn’t as tourist-y! There’s also very local stands around it and plenty of temples! If you’re looking for a real feel of Taiwanese culture I’d come here!
  • The real old Street. The reason she is able to preserve the charm is due to the rejection of train line and hence got bypassed for development. Lost in time, Lukang has old houses still hosting traditional shops. Albeit touristy items but the architecture is original. Definitely worth the detour from TaiChung and spend a night. The local market is a block away and comes to life in the early morning and evening. Very good food. Osmanthus lane next to old Street is also worth exploring. Some shops are closed on weekdays. Do check.
