Open only on the weekends, Taichung Jade Market is an ideal place to observe the local lifestyle and hunt for a few fun souvenirs. Moved recently to a modern building that's both air-conditioned and wheelchair-accessible, the multi-level market offers all kinds of precious and semiprecious stones, metalwork, wooden carvings, ceramics, and other decorative items. Inside the market, you'll also find an exhibit space, drink stands, food vendors, and restrooms. Before you head to Taichung, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Taichung holiday builder app, to make sure you see all that Taichung has to offer, including Taichung Jade Market.

I went on a Sunday and it was so empty with so many vendors and shops! The bottom floor is filled with jewelry, tea pots, bowls and antiques and on the second floor I found the coolest clothing store. The guy who owns it has clothing mainly from India, Tibet and Thailand and it’s reasonably priced, I’m definitely going again.
