  • Very nice experience. You will have a history and science trip at once, topped off by an experiential simulator of an earthquake. Very good for people who are not living in earthquake zones and/or have no experience with earthquakes. You will also learn how Taiwan had learnt to adapt to mitigate the effects of earthquakes through innovation and preparedness
  • A very nice historic experience, great place to bring your children or friends who are interested in Taiwan history. They give a very thorough explanations about earthquakes in general and about the historic event of 921 as well. You can also clearly see the impact and damages done because of the earthquake. The museum is built around the impacted school, and you can also see how the ground was damaged, and why.
  • A place to understand history and appreciate what the Taiwanese engineers have done to improve the building structures. A very shocking yet insightful experience for me and my family.
  • I came here in 2018 during summer time, as a summer program participant held by Asia University. I and other participants came here by Asia University bus. As soon we came put from bus, I felt different atmosphere kinda eerie and sad at the same time. Because we came a group, the museum provide a guide for us. She explained everything, not only about the earthquake but also how the earthquake happens in general. After we strolled around and see the damaged building, we get lunch provided by the museum. we are so shocked, because we did not expected that, and the food was very good. thank you all the staff and the chef. what a memorable visit.
  • There was one really nice older guy (volunteer) who helped me and my friend to join earthquake simulation, he spoke English with us and walked the whole way just to lead us there. The museum itself is really interesting and educational, great for children! I just wanted to compliment that guy because he definitely deserves it, he made this trip memorable. Thank you! 😊
