National Taichung Theater, Taichung

If you're into arts, you will love this place. Besides the stunning architecture, there are many small arts/crafts stores inside. I could have spend the entire day here. My favourite would have to be the outdoor area on the rooftop. It's hard to describe or show how serene it felt. Clean, simple curves that mimic nature. And best of all, it's all free. My favourite place in Taichung 💙

Wonderful place where to go anytime of the day or even anytime of the whole day. Indoor and also outdoor environment with fantastic architecture will catch your eyes from any place around. Just grab some drink and walk around. You will find the beauty of this place immediately and you will love it 😍

National Taichung Theater It is a theater designed by a famous Japanese architect, Ito Toyo, based on the concept of "sound cave", thus making the walls of the building have a unique curve. and can be located without the use of support poles and perpendicular walls The building consists of Grand Theatre, Play House, Black Box and Corner Salon which can host performances and international conferences. Outside the building, there is also an outdoor garden (Outdoor Plaza) and a beautiful sky garden (Rooftop Sky Garden) open to welcome visitors to sit and relax. Therefore, it is a building that is worth visiting to see its beauty.

Why the light is off? Such architectural is designed to be lighted. Even it is a routine off day, you still can get the outside light on! What a pity. Anyway, here’s what the building looks like when the light is off. I will come back for the light I am expecting next time.

NIce view everywhere +There's some ponds inside and outside, for me it is bring fresh air making temperature more cold + Is it not only theater, but also have some market sell creative things, from furniture, decorative display. + in some area they display things, so this theather have some pop up museum as well + The rooftop is so admirable I came here back in 2018 during summertime, when I walk out from my bus. My jaw immediately drop, I never seen anything like this. I came with my friends, we got oppotunity to explore this place. Of course when I'm here, they have some shows but I think they're sold out. But, we are so fascinated with the architecture, cleanliness and how helpful the staffs are. If you visit Taichung, or Taiwan in general visit here IS A MUST!
