Wenshan Hot Spring, Xiulin

Amazing view but with dangerous trail ahead. No rope and deep cliff awaits if you failed to hold your grip. Be cautious. It's better if the government will renovate and bring back the hot pool and put railings for security purposes. As of this moment, it's not advisable to go there. Take at your own risk.

It's a 2.5 km walk from Tienhsiang where the 310 bus has its final stop, or a 2 km walk from the entrance of the Baiyang trail. Wenshan hot spring is easy to find, it's a short walk with the entrance of the tunnel at the side of the road. After crossing the suspension bridge, there is a relatively high fence that can be climbed, but the stairs AND the rope are gone, making it EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to go down. There was no one when we went, however there seems to be police checking whether anyone crosses the fence (they have a police station in Tienhsiang). I guess if you really would like to do it, bring long ropes and don't come alone. On the other side of the river and the suspension bridge, there seems to be an easier trail through the bushes to reach the water.

Good Hotspring. Pretty dangerous hiking but worth it. I did it without shoes, would recommend you to wear proper shoes for this hike. Going down makes you scared a bit but coming back feels easy.

Cross the suspension bridge and follow the trail to the hot springs. The trail is closed at the end due to the state of disrepair of the stairs at the very end. This doesn't stop the locals from enjoying the hot springs.

The hot spring is banned by government now, but it still attract people to come here to enjoy the moment like heaven. You're soaking into the river between canyon!
