Pray for wealth and luck in business at Hsing Tian Kong, a popular Taoist temple in Taipei’s Zhongshan district. An impressive structure erected on the corner of a very busy intersection, the temple worships Guan Yu, the patron god of businesspeople. Constructed in 1967, the temple features many intricate carved designs and contains a collection of dragon sculptures. Locals flock here to pray, while people wait in line to get a blessing or take part in open lectures held by various Confucian scholars. The busy temple has its own subway station, and no burning of incense is allowed inside the temple. Make Hsing Tian Kong a centerpiece of your Taipei vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Taipei online travel route planner.

I used to come here very often praying for everything goes smoothly when I was living and working in Taipei. The temple is built to honour the god of the martial arts Guangong. It represents the spirit of justice and what we call as "YiChi", an honourable behaviour that always standby the side of the love ones. You can find your inner peace the first moment you step into the temple. Listening to the beautiful chanting sounds, learning how to greet the god and how to worship them by heart. Even you have zero knowledge of Tao philosophy at least you get to appreciate the beauty of the architecture and the culture.

Loved this Gorgeous full with Culture Temple, open for everyone and always packed with sincerely people and some tourists. Beautiful architectural design, is one of the most popular, renowned and aged temple in Taipei.
-
One of the most famous and worshipped temples in Taipei. A must visit if you're around. They provide spring couplets for free before Chinese New Year. The queue is long and the number is limited so better go early.
-
Beautiful temple at the center of the city. I like how these two things contrast. We can request “平安卡” for free.
-
This Tao temple has very solid tradition. It host a god that’s in charge with Business. The typical layout with insane amount of the daily activity. It’s what people here really regarded as one of the great temple.
